Have You Voted Yet? It May Not be Nov. 2, But You Can Vote Today!
Oct 27, 2010

The election is a week away but in many states across the country, voters are already headed to the polls.  Two-thirds of Americans can vote in advance of election day by mail or at special polling sites to begin making a difference in this crucial election.

Strong support among early voters will help Council candidates take the lead on Election Day. Click here to find out when (and if) your state begins early voting.

Early voting means we have no excuse for not having a strong turn-out of progressive voters this election.  Encourage your friends, family and co-workers to avoid the lines on Election Day and show their support for arms control candidates.  Do your part to get out the vote today!

Remember to vote for progressives candidates like Barbara Boxer in California, Peter DeFazio in Oregon, Michael Bennet in Colorado, Raul Grijalva in Arizona and other Council-endorsed candidates in early voting states.

The 2008 election produced many victories for progressive candidates.  But building support in a mid-term election means we have to work harder to get voters to the polls.  Over the past two years, we have made significant steps toward reducing and eventually eliminating nuclear weapons. We cannot lose that momentum, so don’t forget to cast your ballot and make your voice heard today.  And once you have voted, make sure your progressive friends and family get out and vote, too.

You can also make a difference by donating to our many candidates in need of last-minute funding or to Council for a Livable World!
